Vision Statement:
​ ​Welcoming to all Reading area residents, the Mother Veronica Resource Center

will enrich the quality of life for individuals and their

families and advance the betterment of our community by

promoting social integration through adult

education.

The Resource Center offers information

on social services as well as English classes

(ESL), General Educational Development

(GED) preparation classes in English and in

Spanish, Citizenship preparation classes,

and Computer classes.

Focusing on promoting social integration for

the betterment of people's lives and of the

community, the Bernardine Franciscan

Sisters, through the Mother Veronica

Resource Center, are continually devoted to

serving immigrants and all residents of the

community of Reading, PA.

The primary goal of The Mother Veronica

Resource Center ESL program is to offer

immigrants a basic knowledge of English so

that adult students are able to:

• Provide for their families through
  education and work opportunities
   
• Advocate for themselves at
  schools, hospitals, employment,
  etc.
   
• Pass the Naturalization Test which
  requires proficiency in English
   
• Improve the quality of their lives
